Boyd Melson made his initial appearance on screen in the documentary “Warrior Ethos: The Boxing Tradition at West Point” where he was one of three Cadets chosen in 2002-2003 to have his senior year at The United States Military Academy at West Point chronicled. This documentary was shown at the Tiburon Film Festival in 2005. Boyd was featured in a supporting role in a documentary titled “Out of the Ring” that is currently in filming. In 2015, the United States Army Reserve released a documentary starring Boyd titled “The Rainmaker: A Soldier’s Journey.” This documentary went on to earn both the 2015 United States Army “Video of the Year” Award and the 2015 Department of Defense “Video of the Year Award.” In 2016, Boyd was an in-studio guest on the nationally renowned radio talk-show “The Breakfast Club” hosted by Charlamagne the God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy.  While deployed Boyd partnered with IP Films and Music (IPFM) to help co-write his first feature film Round One. He helped write this script with Ondra Berry II. In addition to being a co-writer of Round One, Boyd is a Producer, Fight-Choreographer and Supporting Actor for this film. Round One will be produced by IPFM in conjunction with Dream House Productions who will Direct and help Produce this film. Round One is looking to soon begin production with the movie being dedicated to the 501c3 Non-Profit STOP SOLDIER SUICIDE they are partnered with.  Most recently, Boyd helped serve as an Advisor for the movie Diana written by Ondra Berry II and Jason Bryant Jennings. Boyd is currently a member of the production company IPFM comprised of Ondra Berry II, Jason Bryant Jennings, and Tre Ferguson.
